How To Configure Asterisk: The Series

Over the next few weeks, I intend to document various methods that one can use Asterisk to solve their communication issues. The first installment will document a simple working PBX platform for a typical single household system.

Future topics in the How To Configure Asterisk Series may include:

  • 12 Seat Call Center - An In-depth look at a real world deployment of a small inbound and outbound call center.
  • Voicemail, Fax, Email, Document Management - Unified Messaging Deployment

You should check out NuFone’s Whitepaper’s to ensure you have a solid understanding of the complex aspects of Asterisk. I specifically recommend Getting Started With SIP and Proper Asterisk Management.

Expect the first installment of How to Configure Asterisk: Your First Installation within the next day or so.
