Dovecot v1.0.0 Has Been Released!

After almost 5 years, Timo Sirainen has finally decided that Dovecot is ready for 1.0 status.

Dovecot is an open source IMAP and POP3 server for Linux or UNIX-like systems, written with security primarily in mind. Dovecot is an excellent choice for both small and large installations. It’s fast, simple to set up, requires no special administration and it uses very little memory.

I would like to thank Timo and the very active community around Dovecot. I have utilized Dovecot for quite a long time now and am very excited to see what we can do with v1.1+.
