How to Check E-mail Only Twice a Day…or Less
I noticed that Tim Ferriss has a very interesting post on How to Check E-mail Only Twice a Day.
I totally agree that most business professionals deal with entirely too much email and voicemail on a daily basis.
By limiting the amount of time you spend checking email, you can significantly increase your level of productivity.
However, I have also found that one can only process a relatively small number of telephone calls each day, which leads to spending time checking and responding to voicemail if those that are calling you do not know you are busy or out of the office.
For those that are leashed to a Blackberry, iotum’s™ Talk Now Platform can almost totally eliminate playing phone tag or trying to figure out what to say in a voicemail message.
Before you even call your contacts, using Talk-Now you will immediately see their status. If they are not currently available, you can be notified the moment they become available.
I hope Alec and his team are able to make a Symbian S60 version of Talk-Now. Until there is a reliable Linux version of the Blackberry Enterprise Software, I see absolutely no need to own a Blackberry device.
