Don Herbert, better known as Mr. Wizard, has died at his home in Bell Canyon after a long battle with multiple myeloma, said Tom Nikosey, Herbert’s son-in-law.

In the 80s, I remember being glued to Nickelodeon waiting for Mr. Wizard to show us something cool or interesting. I have to give a lot of credit to Mr. Wizard for encouraging my friends and I to take an interest in science and technology.
