Digium Acquires SwitchVox
Digium has acquired San Diego based, Four Loop Technologies, the makers of SwitchVox, a powerful Asterisk-based PBX platform for small to medium sized enterprises. With over 1400 installations in more than 20 countries, SwitchVox will benefit from the exposure and continued development assistance that Digium can provide.
“It will be business as usual for SwitchVox” said Bill Miller, VP of Project Development for Digium, at Astricon 2007. “Digium will be working closely with SwitchVox to develop a specific product strategy to be announced by the next Digium|Asterisk World Conference.”
SwitchVox has doubled the number of its employees since 2005 and has experienced record growth in 2006, with more than 100% revenue increases in each quarter. SwitchVox has recently hired Lee W. Miller as its director of sales, who will lead ongoing channel expansion, along with working directly with customers and partners.
SwitchVox is a turn-key solution, which include server hardware and pre-installed software, and is available direct from Switchvox or via through their network of resellers.
This is the second acquisition in recent months by Digium. In July Digium acquired Astricon.
